As a child Reverend Goodin felt a special anointing on his life growing up at the Greater Saint Matthew Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Steven Avinger Sr. Reverend Goodin was ordained as a deacon in 2007, then licensed to preach in 2008, and was ordained on his birthday January 18, 2015. He has served various servant leader roles in Men's, Education, and Music ministry. Until January of 2015 he served as the Pastoral Head of Ministry of Zamar (which consist of Music, Dance, Mime, Communication, and Theater Arts). Reverend Goodin then transitioned into the role of Youth Pastor at Greater Saint Matthew Baptist Church Chosen Ministries. In November of 2017, the Saint Paul Chapel Baptist Church voted to elect the Reverend Joshua Goodin as the 8th Senior Pastor. Reverend Goodin was installed the first Sunday in March of 2018, since assuming of pastor Reverend Goodin has founded the St. Paul Chapel Restoration CDC, had the churches non-profit status reinstated, restructured the new member’s course, ordained one deacon and four deaconess, renovated the church’s Family Life Center, implemented noon day bible study, membership has increased, and new fellowships established. Reverend Goodin has been on the move for the kingdom and the best is yet to come.

Reverend Goodin is a sought-after preacher, workshop facilitator, Ministerial Training Instructor and he is the founder of New Kingdom Builders Fellowship and Joshua Goodin Ministries Inc. Reverend Goodin is a father, son, sibling, and friend. His life scripture is: “Being confident of this very thing that he who has begun a good work will complete until the day of Jesus Christ”. Reverend Joshua Goodin is the fourth of five children to Jacqueline Goodin and the late Jesse Wallace Jr., born and raised in South Philadelphia he was educated in the Philadelphia School District. After graduating from Furness High School, he attended West Chester University of PA., then later transferred to Geneva College at the Center for Urban Theological Studies where he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree. Reverend Goodin has completed courses in pursue of his at the United Lutheran Seminary of Philadelphia. Presently he is enrolled at Missio Seminary PULPIT (Program for Urban Leaders and Pastors in Transition). Reverend Goodin is preparing to finish his Master of Divinity Degree coursework in the fall of 2021.
