2 Kings 3:10-20 (KJV)
*The man of God speaks for the Lord
Too many Christians today are living as if they don’t have a shepherd. There are some things that God speaks only through his prophet. The things that are going on in the world today, the hatred, the racism, that is not man, it’s spiritual warfare. When there are spiritual crises, it needs a spiritual answer. Some things that God will only talk to his prophet about. That’s why some things you should only discuss with the man of God. You need to humble yourself and go to where the man of God is, and don’t go to him if you don’t want to hear a word from the Lord.
*There is anointing on the man of God
When you come to the prophet are you willing to humble yourself enough to receive rebuke and correction. You need to watch what you say, your attitude and disposition when you seek the prophet of God. The prophet is human and get bent out of shape too.
*God speaks to His man
Sometimes God will give you a word to test you, and you may receive some unusual instructions. You have to be willing to prepare yourself to receive what God has prepared for you. You don’t have to see it, you don’t have to see how God is going to do it, you don’t need to know how he’s going to make it happen, you don’t need to know how the door’s going to open, you don’t know how he’s going to put food on the table , you don’t know how he’s going to straighten out your household. God said, “Dig some ditches and watch me work.” Just dig and God will provide the way. He promised it, but you dig first. If you’re not willing to do the unusual then you won’t receive the unusual. If you want an unusual blessing from God, you have to be willing to step out of your comfort zone and say, “Here am I God. It looks crazy, but I’m going to be crazy for you today.” Your faith is being tried and your obedience is tested. Our responsibility is to move in faith and obedience. God is not tied to what is logical to us. When God shows up, he shows up in abundance. God wants us to prepare for the blessings that he wants to bring. God will never require you to go beyond your faith. He doesn’t want to disappoint, so he gives you something within the realm of the faith that is within you. That’s why some people receive an abundance, and some people just receive. Stop complaining and just do it. If you expect to obtain the Holy Spirit’s blessing then prepare for his reception. What God wants to do is a simple thing. God wants to give more than enough, give exceedingly, give abundantly, above what you can think or ask. Listen to what God says, because there are some things God delivered you from that he doesn’t want you to go back to, and there are some people that God separated you from that he doesn’t want you to go back to. There are some teachings you received in your old life that he doesn’t want you to go back to. He wants you to have complete victory.
