No More Excuses: Accept the Assignment

Licensing Service for Minister in Training Carma Clark

Exodus 4:1-14 (NIV)

God will use your enemies to complete the assignment he has given you. Don’t worry about them being your enemies, because God has an assignment for them to do too that will better you. When God tells you to do something, you question him if he’s sure that’s what you’re supposed to do.

*What has God put in your hand? Has he put a pencil in your hand, because you’re supposed to write a book, curriculum for children so their education will be better. Maybe he put cooking utensils in your hand, and it’s time for you to open your business. Maybe he put the pencil back in your hand to build affordable housing for our people, or a hammer to help the person build the housing.

*How many times have you told God, “I can’t speak that good”, or “I can’t talk in front of people”, or “I don’t know what to say”? God will show you what’s in your mouth. What has God put into your mouth, and when are you going to stop giving him excuses? Has he put a song in your mouth where you could be the next Beyonce? Has he put a word in your mouth to speak to a child having trouble in school? Has he put a kind word in your mouth to tell someone they are enough, they are good enough, they are special? What did God put into your mouth, stop sitting on it? God will give you what you need.

*It’s not easy to accept God’s assignments, you will be scared, nerve racked, and challenged, but he will give you everything you need if you just say yes. Stop making excuses!
