"More Than I Expected"

Acts 3:1-10 (NIV)

Whenever God gives you more than you expected, you deserve to give him more than ordinary praise. God always gives you more than you ask for, but when God gives you more than you ask for sometimes there are some things that come with it that you don’t necessarily want. Even when God gives you more, regardless of the more he always allows the more to work together for your good. What time is your hour of prayer? You ask God for more but don’t want to give God more.

*Beggars aren’t just people on the side of the road with a sign, sometimes there are beggars in your family or that are friends. Every time you see them they beg, constantly trying to take from you. A beggar's job is only to take, so don’t be surprised when that’s what they do. If you’re not careful enough if you hang around lame people long enough you will become just like them. Some people will carry you to your place of misery every day, but never offer you assistance or help to get you out of your mess. There are some people who benefit when you’re down because as long as you’re down they always have someone that they’re higher than. Be careful of the people that celebrate you when you’re in broken places.

*The Lord knows what you need even when you don’t know what you need. You pray to the Lord if you had more money, more time in the day, or just a little more options. Before he gives you more you have to learn how to be a good steward of what he already gave you. How can God trust you with more money, because you don’t know how to live within your means. When you change your mentality then your environment changes. More isn’t just about your finances, it’s about you giving from your talent and your time. You ask God to give you more, but you waste what you have. What would happen if you stopped asking God for more, and asked him to help you to be better with what you already have? When you learn to be a good steward over the little God gives you, you also will learn how to enjoy life much better. You will live blessed and stress-free. The more you give to God the more he gives to you. Sometimes you give God tips and skip out on the bill.

*God gives you more, he doesn’t give you money, he gives you the ability to walk. You wanted money, but now you can walk and look for a job. You can carry someone else that’s lame or blind to the temple to turn their situation around. You ask God to open up doors, and he opened so many you have to decide which one to walk through.
