“The Terms of Agreement”
God is involved in the business of making agreements to come to him for salvation, for the help that you need, and for the things that you lack in life. God will do his part and the expectation is that you will do your part. Some of you have already broken your terms of the agreement, and you need to tell God sorry, that you didn’t live up to your end of the bargain. God is looking for some people willing to make terms of the agreement. There will be times in your life when you have to go to the next level. You are afraid to give up what’s comfortable because the assignment seems unfamiliar and massive, but that’s when God makes it his business to reassure you with terms of the agreement. If you just trust him, it doesn’t matter how big the assignment is, expect God to do something big for you. God doesn’t do much small, and if he calls you, go.
*God promises a sanctuary. This agreement comes with protection. The only reason you made it out of this week is because God protected you. Thank God for protection. God is inviting the church and you to undertake something that is enormous this year. What God is asking you to do is enormous, but it comes with sanctuary. What you’re building, people have never seen before, but they have to learn how to trust you because you’re a man or woman of God. You have to build up a level of trust, so people don’t think they’re wasting their time with you. God’s going to blow your mind, and you’re going to build something that ain’t never been seen or done before, and it comes with 24-hour security.
Stop worrying about what people don’t see and ask yourself did God give you that. If God gave it to you, what does it matter what people don’t see? God is more than the world against you. What’s going on in your life, eyes have never seen it, and because no eye has ever seen it, God is in charge of protecting it. God protects you by making sure that there is so much around you that no one can crack the security. Don’t come down from the level that you’re on, because you are staying behind security. It’s going to be alright because you have security. If you give God what you have, what you need will never run out. You don’t just have security, but God will make sure you have substance, and if you do what you’re supposed to do, you’ll always have. Start at the top and work your way down. Start big and let them tell you what they can’t do. You get spiritual amnesia and you forget that it was God that did it for you. You need to wake up everyday and tell God thank you, so you can be reminded that it wasn’t your idea or your brilliance, it wasn’t you, it was God. Maybe your stuff isn’t growing or moving, because you’re looking this way instead of looking up. If you hold up your end of the bargain, God will make sure you’re straight.
*You see the sovereignty. When you enter into a term of agreement with God, he is the agreement. He can rip it up and start all over again. He can change whatever he thinks is fair because he’s sovereign, he can do whatever he wants to do. God gave it to you. God gets confused when he gives you something and you act like it’s yours. Your child, your marriage, your job, your house, and that’s why you have so much trouble because it’s yours, you took it out of the hands of the sovereign God. Thank God you’ve found grace. What you do today is not for you, but for your bloodline. Stop with your foolishness because it’s not just about you, it’s about your children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren. What you do today affects your bloodline. Because of your sin, you don’t deserve it, but God gives you grace. Your house is not a sanctuary, you do too much dirt in your house for it to be a sanctuary. You wouldn’t know half the stuff that you know if it wasn’t for the Holy Ghost. You didn’t decide that, it was the Holy Ghost who told you. It wasn’t your choice, it was God’s choice. God extended his grace towards you, and that should be enough to hold up your end of the bargain. God has done too much for you to go back.
*Do what God says. Stop hanging out with people that try to manipulate what God says. Regardless of how you messed up, God still extends you grace and mercy.
