Sunday Recap
Joshua 3 (NIV)
Joshua told the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you.” Joshua 3:5 NIV
One of the biggest issues in the life of believers is that we are constantly attempting to be in control of the areas of our lives, consequently we come to understand that we can never truly count up the full cost. Upon realizing that we can’t account for everything we learn that this work best when God takes the center stage.
When God takes the center stage we must:
*Anticipate that all our needs will be met. God provide the children of Israel with a leader and a plan for how to cross the Jordan. God exalted Joshua so that the children of Israel would know that as God was with Moses, he would be also with Joshua.
*Follow the directions that have been instructed. God gave them the how and where, they needed to just hear and go. One of the things that block us from getting what God wants to release is our inability to go. It’s not enough to just hear, you also have to be willing to go/do. We also have to understand the amount of opposition that comes with achieving the promise. The closer you get to the promise the more “ites” will come up against you, but remember God has handled all your opposition in the past and can do it now.
